While shopkeepers have to wait for a customer to visit the shop, it appears that tailors have plenty of work.
Now it appears that some shops are keeping a tailor in the shop
While mostly garment shops have a tailor, in some cases a jewelry shop also has a tailor associated with it.
For the shopowner as well as the tailor it is a mutually beneficial deal, since the tailor usually pays far lower rent than direct renting a shop and can do any alteration work.
Usually the shop owner also has to leave the shop for some time for other work, or go to sleep in the afternoon. So instead of hiring additional staff, they are keeping a tailor who will inform the walk in customers.
